--Mar 22 2023A *mayapple* in March! It may have been 0 °C, but the native plant restoration was blossoming.
Native to woodlands of eastern North America, the *mayapple* has only 2 leaves and 1 flower. Later in summer, it will grow an 'apple': a yellow, lemon-shaped fruit. Careful! Most of the plant, including the fruit (until very ripe), is toxic.
