A detour off the ring road, the town is the terminal point for the ferry that links Iceland to the European continent via the Faroe Islands to Denmark. A really scenic town in the east fjord-lands, Seydisfjordur is found nestled in a spectacular valley following an exciting 27km drive from Egilsstadir.
