Congratulations @evanwoolery and team -- this is visually stunning ... and eerily compelling! Outstanding VFX. Would love to hear more about the project.
Such a polished, ambitious, thought-provoking piece of work. Well done! I can't imagine the work that went into this!!
@evanwoolery really, really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing “Only in your lifetime could you have escaped from this place”! Words that sent a shiver down my spine!
@jon Thanks for watching and for your support showcasing this short film. It was a three-year journey making it. The inspiration was from the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. This is short is a scene from the feature script I hope to one day make.
@nikke Thanks for watching. It was a lot of fun designing the visuals. Collaborating with Cloudland Studios on the VFX was a great experience. It's hard to beat the magic of seeing a design come alive. https://cloudlandstudios.com
@tom Thanks to you and the team at Vero for sharing this short film. It was a labor of love and a big team effort. I'm glad it's finally getting released for everyone to see all the great work of everyone involved in every step.
@evanwoolery thank you! Incredible achievement. Are you turning this into a longer format movie (or hope to?)
@jon Yes, that is the hope and goal. This short film is a proof-of-concept for the feature film, The Hereafter. It's a story about a disinherited rich man who fights to overturn his late father’s will, but a near-death experience opens his eyes to his eternal inheritance.
@jamie Thanks for checking it out. I’m happy you enjoyed it. THX 1138, Bladerunner 2049, Terminator 2, Arrival, TRON Legacy, and The Matrix were sources of inspiration.
Thank you for the kind words @sue It was a lot of fun working with so many talented people to take it from the page to the final product. @austin804
