We made this little film over two years ago. For me making this film wasn’t about awards or directing it was really about closing a chapter of trauma following a sexual assault. I feel blessed to work in an industry where we can turn trauma into something that is celebrated. The film has done a little tour and ended up at Cannes & London film festival amongst others, I’m insanely proud and grateful to the team. However having it locked away really distracted from the bigger conversation. Following the events of the last few weeks I felt the need to release it as a piece of activism if nothing else.
