So great that you are feeling reenergised and creatively excited Stepháne!! An exciting time for you particularly with winter and those frozen landscapes! Beautiful image of the aerial ice and I am excited to see more of the images you capture with your drone!! 💙
Thank you very much, @karenwaller ! More should be coming up in the near future. 🙏😊
I like minimalism in photographs, the clean lines and absence of distraction creates a compelling image, of which this is a very fine example. It is a mystery to me that the less there is the more there is to look at. Wonderful work, good eye, good photography. 👍👏👌♥️
Thank you so very much, @garryplatt ! 🙏😊 To me minimalism is about reducing an image to the essential(s) so that one can look at the subject(s) without interference (or distraction, as you said). Makes it possible/easier to convey and reveal things that would otherwise go unnoticed (perhaps that’s where the feeling of having more to see comes from). Snow, like mist/fog and shadow is a wonderful natural thing that can help with that. There are of course post processing techniques that will do the same but even though I don’t mind using them, I always find it more satisfying when I manage to do it in camera and/or composition. This is such an example. Shooting straight down like this also helps, as it reduces your scene from three to two (or near two) dimensions.
