--Sep 8"There's a plethora of films still to come out this year despite there being a few months left of it but there is one film that stands out to me as a source of intense interest.
I'm waiting ever so patiently to see Benny Safdie's 'The Smashing Machine' not just because its director is an exciting new voice in the world of filmmaking but also because it looks to have Dwayne Johnson as something we haven't seen before from him.
Let's face it, he has found himself or rather made himself a mould to play in cinematically, but his turn as UFC legend Mark Kerr smells of something different if you pardon the allusion to Dwayne's other persona. And I'm all for seeing Dwayne Johnson tackling this seemingly more vulnerable, more raw role it's well overdue. But apart from that it does just look like a great film that'll be well worth the watch having the phenomenal Emily Blunt in the mix also seals the deal for it being a worthwhile time at the cinema, she's fantastic!"
