Until The Ribbon Breaks
@utrb returns with a stripped-down alt-pop track from frontman Pete Lawrie Winfield. A quiet reflection on presence and gratitude, it’s a song built on emotional clarity.
“It’s the simplest song I’ve ever written,” says Winfield. “Not the easiest, it required a level of vulnerability I usually avoid. But beneath the noise of my mind, there’s peace. I just have to remember to forget myself. Gratitude is how I do that. ‘YOU’ is a thank you. For being alive.”
The accompanying video, out later today, brings that feeling to life through the movement of Indian dancer Vishal Kashyap. A collaboration sparked when he reached out to share his story and work. “It’s not my story to tell,” says Winfield. “The way Vishal moves, it’s all there. Strength, fragility, soul.”
Kashyap adds: “I come from a place where dreams like this are whispered. No mirrors, no shoes — just movement and hope. This video is a piece of my life I never thought I’d share.”
We’ll drop the link in the comments once it’s live.
