Recommended, life is an aspect where consciousness influences subconsciousness.
Not recommend for gender roles. Gender game roles need to be designated whether you are playing male or female character or both, such as Alan Wake 2 campaigns. You aren't playing Tomb Raider for instance, where the gender role is obvious. It's also disheartening, mindlessly; not to take anything away from Assassin's Creed franchise, in Valhalla installment, at the beginning the player decides male, female, or let's animus (game's AI) decide in regards to gender. If you chose male, after hours of gameplay, you are still being made a female role. This should not be the case. Observably, let's say your spouse or partner sees you pick your gender (male or female), and then a couple to a few days later sees you play a different gender, these are game developer issues that need to be addressed. The games are innovatively applicable in details and designs of tech and software engines to some extent, and of influencing mindset connotations, including cinematography, etc.
A real-life analogy example to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, as a male, you go to have your wisdom teeth removed, when you wake up from the surgical anesthetic, and go to scratch your balls, only to find there's a vagina, your penis, and balls are missing. Video games can do that to the unaware.
What's worse now, in the metaverse, and MMOs, males playing female characters, and females playing male characters, and vice versa. As there are no endings in the metaverse with MMO type gaming, it's something you are choosing for the future of your lifestyle and gaming.
In life, you make choices, and decisions, and then you have to live with those choices, and decisions.
