Hi @ZackSnyder I saw you were hiring a Post Assistant here in LA soon. Would love to be considered if you’re still looking! Good luck on the rest of the shoot!
@zacksnyder Did some research on 8K digital camera, the kind of flexibility it gives during post production is unprecedented. I'm intrigued to see some footage.
@BrianWiley Although Scorsese shot The Irishman partly on film, Baumbach 35mm on Marriage Story, Jonze 16mm on his Aziz Ansari special, Netflix has been digital only land from the start. They seem looser these days but either Zack didn’t have a choice and embraced it or he did have a choice, and since he’s shooting the film himself, maybe he thought digital would be simpler this time. Film makes prosthetic makeup like on zombies better and more flattering though. I’m very excited to see what Zack can do with digital but still disappointed I’ll admit.
@stevenspielbergo I think he'll like it. if i remember, he mentioned he prefers using only one camera instead of multiple like other directors when doing action scenes which resulted in very lengthy times to finish them. Atleast with digital he will be able to see everything so it will be quicker.
@lordoftherings I don’t remember him mentioning it taking more time because of it being film though. He’s a celluloid fan for a reason I’d say. I just hope it’s just a one time thing.
@zacksnyder do you ever use gopros in your films? What’s the best single video cam to make a solo flick with?
@zacksnyder I can see jl in camera
Nice to see you at work Zack 🎥
@ZackSnyder SHOOTING DIGITAL!?!?! to quote Alfed: "Everything's changed..."
