Angie is a cop for the Georgia PD, partnered with the cocky Michael Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) and their ongoing rivalry with Trent and his partner, Faith Mitchell ( Lantha Richardson) keeps a steady stream of solid banter going.
Led by showrunner Liz Heldens, this writers' room specializes in taking on heavy subject matter while maintaining humor and levity. Will Trent is simultaneously thought-provoking, pushing audiences to debate the black and white and grey of the law yet staying fun and even making you laugh out loud at times.
Friend of VERO, Christina Wren plays Caroline, assistant to the head of the GBI (Sonja Sohn). Wren's first episode was initially a small, one-off appearance, but with Caroline playing an ongoing role in the books, Wren saw the potential for the role to grow. Seeing her first episode was directed by Lea Thompson (Back to the Future), she jumped at the opportunity. Wren shared that Thompson was a lovely director who visited her in her trailer to welcome her to the show before filming.
Throughout the seasons, Caroline is further fleshed out. Check out the Season Two finale, directed by showrunner Liz Heldens, where Caroline gets increasingly involved in the GBI business!
